Meet Derrick Morgan Jr., Esq.
Derrick Morgan Jr. is a Chicago-based attorney and the Managing Partner at Morgan Business Solutions, LLC. He has advised, consulted, and assisted over 1500 businesses and brands with their trademarks and ancillary intellectual property needs in over 60 countries.
At Morgan Business Solutions, Derrick advises clients on virtually all aspects of trademark law and branding including clearance, prosecution, office actions, enforcement, litigation and portfolio management. He is a skilled negotiator who is well-versed in collaborative solutions to keep clients’ costs low while still being a zealous advocate for their business needs. Derrick is passionate about defending his clients, helping startups build from the ground up, and protecting global brands’ long-standing trademarks.
Prior to founding Morgan Business Solutions, Derrick was an Associate Attorney at an Indianapolis law firm where he served as general counsel for USA Badminton. Derrick’s background was mainly in sports where he worked with several sports organizations and National Governing Bodies, such as the NCAA, USA Track & Field, The Indiana Sports Corp, and the Horizon League. Derrick is no stranger to litigation. He has litigated in several federal districts spanning from Colorado to New York.
Derrick enjoys spending time with family and friends, making travel videos, contemporary art, cheering on his beloved Hoosiers, and exploring every corner of the planet.
